Take the Plunge

Water Sports are an all-camp favorite at Winadu. From sailing to canoeing to waterskiing, our campers love spending time on Onota Lake learning new things and making memories.

Waterskiing & Wakeboarding

At Winadu, every camper has the opportunity to learn how to waterski. We teach freestyle slalom skiing, trick skiing, and wakeboarding on our four Malibu competition ski boats. Campers can ski or wakeboard daily with ski instructors who are trained boat drivers, teachers, and lifeguards. All campers get up on waterskis with our beginners boom.

Winadu offers a wonderful fleet of sailboats, sunfish and lasers. Campers enjoy sailing on the beautiful waters of Onota Lake with our Sailing staff made up of top coaches and competitive sailors from around the world. Campers of all levels are welcome to experience our sailing program and learn the skills necessary to confidently sail on their own. Campers also look forward to participating in the annual Berkshire Regatta.

Kayaking, Canoeing, & Stand Up Paddle Board

Our campers have plenty of opportunities to get out on the water and enjoy recreational lake activities like paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing. Each skill is taught by a knowledgeable instructor in order to enhance the experience for all campers.

We are lucky to have a heated swimming pool. The Winadu lifeguard and swim instructor team offers daily group lessons to our youngest divisions and more intensive one-on-one lessons to boys who want additional work on swimming techniques. Our staff can help all levels improve their skills, cool off, and have fun! We also have a Winadu swim team that participates in local swim meets.

Water Trampoline & Aqua Park

The water trampoline and aqua slide are two of our most popular activities. Everyday campers can be found hanging out on one of these lake toys cooling off and having fun with friends.
